International students are required to meet the same admission criteria as United States citizens, in addition to obtaining a minimum required score on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). The following items are required by February 1, 2012, to complete an application:

• Student Application Form and Essay (online application recommended)
• Family Information Form
• Parent or Guardian Questionnaire
• Application Fee of $100, by U.S. dollar, check, or credit card for online applications.

• Copy of applicant’s passport page showing birth date and picture
• SSAT or ISEE scores from the current school year (http://www.ssat.org/, SSAT Code: 4948; http://www.erbtest.org/, ISEE code: 331635)
• TOEFL scores from the current school year (http://www.ets.org/, TOEFL code: 8103)
• School Report/Recommendation from Principal or Guidance Counselor
• Three years of academic records/transcripts/grades (current school year and the previous two years)
• Current English Teacher Recommendation
• Current Math Teacher Recommendation 
• Interview (on campus or by telephone) 

Due to the unprecedented demand for interviews from China, candidates may be required to submit to a pre-interview conducted by our admission partner, Vericant, which is based in Mainland China. Those interviews are reviewed by our Admission Committee before a formal interview can be scheduled. The two parts to the interview include a 10-minute video interview in English and Mandarin, and a 30-minute writing sample in English. Upon completion of the interview, Vericant will send all information to The Masters School for assessment.
