  • REUNION 2013: Reconnect with Friends!

    Register now to return to campus for Reunion 2013! Don’t miss this opportunity to reconnect with friends! All alums are welcome, but classes ending in 3’s and 8’s should make a special effort to join classmates and faculty for Reunion activities on May 17-18. The program opens with an outstanding panel of alum entrepreneurs, who will share stories (and strategies) from being on the frontline of business development. The weekend will also feature campus tours, Harkness classes, a Glee Club Sing-Along (all are welcome), the traditional Maypole dance, receptions, luncheons, a banquet, and much more.   • Alum Entrepreneurs Share Their Success Stories

    Be sure to arrive by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, to hear alumnae/i entrepreneurs Kara DioGuardi ’88, Chris Danzig ’99, and Lucy Muhlfeld Kazickas ’71 discuss their strategies for building highly successful businesses. Held in the Middle School's Great Hall, the panel discussion is part of the Reunion weekend program, and will be followed by a wine and cheese reception from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Click on the headline for details.

  • An UnForgettable Story: Pam Kinnicut Motley ’62

    “I got involved as a member of my 50th Reunion committee from the get-go and had the opportunity to call many classmates, some of whom I hadn’t spoken to in over fifty years,” noted Pam Kinnicut Motley '62. "My roommate wasn’t planning on coming back for Reunion, but I talked her into it. When the weekend finally came, we shared a hotel room and all those years just fell away—we were roommates again!"   • The Labyrinth Rocks!

    As you prepare for reunion weekend, please consider adding a rock to your suitcase! Ellen Cowhey, World Religions and Journalism teacher, spearheaded an effort by students, faculty and alums to create a stone path labyrinth in front of Estherwood. Reunion attendees will have a chance to explore the labyrinth with Ellen on Saturday, May 18, at 5:00 p.m. You’re invited to add a stone from your yard or garden to the seven concentric circles that make up this meditative path.   • Marin Alsop ’73 Makes History: First Woman to Conduct Last Night of Proms

    Marin Alsop ’73 has been named conductor for the prestigious 2013 Last Night of the BBC Proms. Scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2013, in London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, the performance will be televised worldwide. Ms. Alsop is the first female conductor to ever conduct the Last Night.     It is with great sadness that The Masters School notes the passing of Kathryn Wasserman Davis P’56, GP’84 on April 23, 2013, at her home in Hobe Sound, FL.   • NPR Team Wins Peabody, duPont Awards

    It has been a stellar year for Masters School Trustee Edith Chapin '83, who is senior supervising International Editor at National Public Radio (NPR). Earlier this year, a team of NPR journalists won an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for NPR's coverage of the conflict in Syria. On March 28, it was announced that members of the team had also won the prestigious Peabody Award, again for NPR's Syria reporting. International correspondents Kelly McEvers and Deb Amos led NPR's reports during frequent trips to the region.
