Claudia Boettcher Theatre
Actors, musicians, singers, and dancers perform in the spectacular 450-seat theatre, which is also the School’s gathering place where the entire community assembles most mornings to begin the academic day.
Located on the second floor of Strayer Hall, in the Music Center skilled on-campus and adjunct faculty—many of whom are performing artists—offer an expansive music curriculum tailored to each student’s interests and goals. The center features practice facilities with grand pianos, guitars, drum kits and other instruments,a soundproof studio, digital music Pro Tools recording studio, and a Glee Club and Orchestra room.
In the superb two-story art studio adjacent to the Claudia Boettcher Theatre students fashion their own original art in a full spectrum of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and print-making.
The professional dance studio located in the lower level of Strayer Hall features wood floors, barres, and floor-to-ceiling mirrors.
Digital Media Lab
The School’s Digital Media Lab, located in Masters Hall, features sixteen Macs with a teaching station and projection setup. A series of programs are bundled on each user-friendly computer, allowing students to access iWeb, iMovie, iPhoto, and podcasting. The technology also makes it possible to create a web gallery for the class where each student has a virtual room to display his or her work. The system permits the person sitting at the teaching station to answer questions with real world examples that can be projected instantly for the class to see.
