Video of Masters vs. Ardsley in "The Challenge"
The Masters School faced Ardsley High School on MSG Varsity’s academic quiz show, “The Challenge,” that aired on December 26th. Team Captain Julia Butterfield, together with teammates Max Borowitz, Noah Buyon and Albert Xu, with alternates Dylan Etzel and Henry DuBeau on the ready, competed against last year’s tri-state champions in a battle that tested their knowledge of art, literature, history, science, math and pop culture. The team was supported by more than thirty Masters School students, faculty, parents, alumnae/i and friends—even the purple Panther was there to fire up the audience and cheer on the team. The Masters team didn't win but they displayed terrific sportsmanship and gave the defending champs a good run. You can view the show here .

Empty Bowls Raises Funds for Food Pantry
Students, parents, faculty and staff were on hand to buy one-of-a-kind, handmade bowls on December 14 as part of the Empty Bowls fundraiser to benefit the Food Pantry of the Bronx Jewish Community Council. Guests studied the wide array of bowls, selected their favorite, donated $10, and then shared a simple meal of soup and bread in the dining hall.
