Manuel “Karlo” Ramsler ’17 has been named “Community Service Volunteer of the Fall Term” for choosing to serve four days a week, at four sites, and for his dedication and enthusiasm as a MISH volunteer.
Karlo has volunteered at Days of Wonder, Andrus Nursing Home, the Midnight Run organization, and Children’s Village this fall, according to Community Service Director Amy Atlee, who presented a certificate to Karlo in recognition of his service.
“His enthusiasm and dedication make him an asset to each place that he visits and endears him to the individuals he helps,” the certificate states. “He is able to genuinely connect with a variety of people in diverse settings and bring out the best in all of them. We appreciate his willingness to work wherever needed and his ability to approach each placement with an open mind and an open heart. His unique sense of humor lightens up every situation and his genuine concern for others adds a special sense of caring to his work.”
