Fifth and Sixth Grade
Students will have health class for two weeks per trimester as a part of their physical education rotation. Students will be involved in fun, interactive activities that engage each type of student learner, participating in role playing, poster making, group discussions, and in-class projects. Our goal is for students to understand the things that impact their physical and mental health, consider their current health behaviors and attitudes, and make behavioral changes that influence their overall health in a positive way.
Seventh and Eighth Grade
The seventh and eighth grade health curriculum covers the broad topics of decision making, healthy relationships, drug and alcohol use, gender and sexual identity, sexuality, and sexually transmitted infections. Health classes meet four times per cycle for half of the school year.
