Upper School

Tokumbo Bodunde

    Tokumbo has taught English and literacy at Vanguard High School in New York City for the past seven years. In addition to Tokumbo’s work as an educator, Tokumbo is an independent filmmaker. A graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia with a B.A. in news-editorial journalism, Tokumbo also earned an M.A. in media studies from The New School.

Ian Mook

    Ian recently taught calculus and algebra at The Lawrenceville School and received The Shelby Cullom Davis Award, given to faculty members who made “a special difference to the School community.” Ian graduated from Williams College with a double major in mathematics and Chinese and received a master of science from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.

Penny Peng

  • Mandarin

    A native Chinese speaker who has a passion for and extensive experience in inspiring students to learn Chinese language and culture, Penny joins the Upper School Language Department. Penny recently taught Mandarin to middle school students at The Unquowa School in Fairfield, CT.  A graduate of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in Beijing, Penny earned an M.A. from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Stephanie Cabrera

    Stephanie is a leave replacement faculty member in the upper school languages department and a member of weekend team. Stephanie recently taught Spanish at Equality Charter School in the Bronx. A graduate of Molloy College, Stephanie is pursuing a master’s degree at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry.

Amélie Obas

    Amélie Obas recently taught ninth and tenth grade math at Cristo Rey High School in New York City. Amélie earned a B.F.A. in interior design from the New York School of Interior Design, a B.A. in mathematics from the University of Albany and an MAT in secondary education in mathematics from Clarkson University.

Jaxon Sasala

  • Associate Athletic Trainer and Phys Ed

    Jaxon comes to Masters with over 10 years of healthcare experience. Previously an athletic trainer at Columbia Orthopedics in New York City, Jaxon also worked as a clinical athletic trainer for Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA. Jaxon holds a B.S. in athletic training from Kean University and an M.S. in rehabilitative science from California University of Pennsylvania.

Jodie Goldberg

  • Health and Wellness 

    Jodie, a Middle and Upper School teacher, joins Masters after five years as a fourth grade lead teacher at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City, where Jodie served as a member of the school-wide Social-Emotional Learning and Leadership team. Jodie earned a B.A. in economics from Skidmore College and an M.Ed. in early childhood special education from The University of Texas at Austin.

Mariah Peña

    For the past six years, Mariah was the eleventh grade English lead teacher at Memorial High School in West New York. Currently enrolled in an Ed.D program for higher education at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Mariah received a minor degree in British Literature, a B.A. in English/Literature and an M.A. in teaching in secondary education, all from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Luke Wilde

  • Visual Arts

    Luke returns to the Upper School Visual Arts Department after serving as a leave replacement near the end of the 2020-2021 academic year. Luke earned a B.F.A. from SUNY New Paltz. Luke held a year-long artist residency at the Clay Art Center in Port Chester. He was employed as a production assistant at Connor McGinn Studio in Tarrytown, creating plateware for some of the top chefs of the world.

Peter Wylie

  • Department of Performing Arts

    Peter is joining the faculty as the Theater Technical Director and Performance Facilities Coordinator, after having served as a lighting consultant and a leave replacement in the Department of Performing Arts in recent years. A graduate of Emerson College, Peter worked for the last several years at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center and also completed several projects at theaters in the NY/NJ area.

    Georgia previously taught science at Speyer Legacy School in New York City and Horace Mann. Georgia received a B.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University and an M.S. in secondary education from City College.
