Literary Month Continues in the Middle School

February is nearly over, but there are still great events happening in the Middle School to celebrate Literary Month.

The second annual Middle School Book Fair returns! We are partnering once again with Main Street Books, an independently owned book distributor. The dates are Tuesday, February 26, through Thursday, February 28. The book fair will be open from 7:45 AM-3:45 PM on Tuesday, February 26; Wednesday, February 27; and Thursday, February 28. The fair will also be opening in the evening on Wednesday, February 27, from 5:45-6:45 PM.

On Wednesday, February 27, at 7:00 PM in the Doc Wilson Hall, author, literary agent and Masters parent Tanya McKinnon P'24 will present to parents on “Talking About Hard History.” Under the pen name T.R. Simon, Tanya’s first book, Zora and Me, co-authored with Victoria Bond, won the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent and was nominated for an Edgar Award in the category of Juvenile Fiction. Her most recent book, Zora and Me: The Cursed Ground was released in September.

More information will follow on all of these events. If you have an interest in assisting at the book fair, please reach out to our librarian Judy Murphy at judy.murphy@mastersny.org.
