When members of the Class of 2017 heard about the Giving Day Connect-a-thon, an on-campus Phonathon that took place on the School’s 2nd Annual Alumnae/i Giving Day in January, they jumped at the opportunity to take part. Nine Seniors spent the evening of January 24 making calls and encouraging alumnae/i to participate in the Annual Fund.
“It was fun to call alums and connect with other generations who went to the same school as me,” shared Tess Higgins ’17.
The conversations were enlightening for the Seniors, says Jordan Rusoff ’17: “I loved hearing how much alums love the School.”
The efforts of the student volunteers – along with those of our dedicated alumnae/i volunteers – resulted in 183 gifts totaling over $34,000 to the School in just 24 hours. Tess and Jordan are looking forward to becoming part of the alumnae/i community the when the Class of 2017 is formally inducted into the Alumnae/i Association on May 19.
