Eighth graders catapulted paint-dipped cotton balls onto canvases to create Jackson Pollock-esque paintings on December 1. Students used Google Docs in a collaborative effort to design and build the catapults.
The project helped students see how scientists work together to solve problems, according to eighth grade science teacher Nancy Gormley.
The paintings will be displayed at the eighth grade Arts Expo in the spring, connecting science and art.
