Dance Company Concert Features Alums

Three alumna of the Masters Dance Company joined current Company members in a performance at 8:00 PM on Saturday, May 19 in the Claudia Boettcher Theatre.

The Company's spring concert, which showcased students' choreography, also included a performance on the evening of May 18 and an afternoon show on May 19 that featured the troupe's understudies.

Alumna from the Classes of 1963, 1993 and 2011 participated in the May 19 evening performance, according to Dance Company Director Shell Benjamin, who had contacted former Dance Company members and invited them to participate. The alums spoke with current Dance Company members before the show, sharing their experiences and some "pearls of wisdom," Ms. Benjamin says.

The theme of the spring concert was "Introspect/tcepsortnI" (introspect spelled backwards). A talk-back session with the Company members was held after each performance.
