Seniors and Recent Graduates Reconnect at Young Alumnae/i Party

With plenty of sushi and stories to go around, attendees at Wednesday’s Young Alumnae/i Party let the good times roll, filling the normally staid Estherwood mansion with laughter and excitement.

Nearly 80 alumnae/i, seniors and faculty gathered to reconnect and catch up at the annual party, which included a sushi spread from a local restaurant. “It’s a fun event for everyone,” said Sujata Jaggi ’01, Director of Alumnae/i Engagement. “Current seniors get to see old friends who have graduated, and alumnae/i get to reconnect with each other and with faculty. There is a real value in keeping these relationships and connections strong.”

Head of School Laura Danforth joined in the festivities and warmly welcomed the alums back to their alma mater, some of whom had graduated just last May, and some of whom are in their first year out of college. Members of the Class of 2019, many of whom are still in the midst of the college application process, were eager to learn more about their friends’ college experiences and about what life is like after Masters.

As the evening wound down, attendees were hard-pressed to leave Estherwood, enveloped in conversation. That, said Jaggi, “is what the evening was all about.”
