Masters “Shares the Love” with Jonestown
MISH’s annual “Share the Love” fundraiser to benefit Jonestown, Mississippi, raised $1,110 this year through the sale of 1,091 carnations that were distributed on Valentine's Day.
Each year, in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, MISH sells carnations that are then passed out to the donor’s designated recipient on Valentine’s Day. The proceeds from the annual fundraiser benefit Jonestown, Mississippi, which is designated as one of the poorest towns in one of the poorest states in the country. Students have traveled to Jonestown during Spring Break for many years to volunteer in the community, and will do so again this year.
