Discover Peru During Spring Break 2020

The School is delighted to offer students the opportunity to visit Peru during spring break 2020, from March 14 - 21.

Discover Peru through multiple lenses while you visit ancient Inca ruins, hike scenic trails in the Andes, meet locals in indigenous communities in the Sacred Valley, and learn photography skills in this new setting. Dive into the history of Andean and Inca cultures like a true anthropologist. Analyze the differences between Peruvian culture and your culture back home.

Learn how climate change is affecting these high-altitude communities and interview locals about how sustainable practices are making a difference. Ask what the biggest accomplishments and struggles are in this changing world.

Visit local health clinics and traditional medicine facilities to explore how medicine has changed over the years and how Peruvians are still using ancient medical processes and herbal plants side by side with modern practices. Create your own project with a focus on one of these themes that you can then present to your group at the end of the trip.

Dates: March 14 - 21, 2020
Duration: 8 days
Tuition: $2,900 + airfare (flight cost to be announced). Please note that financial aid is available.
