From modern dance to classical ballet, the upper school dancers confidently executed a variety of numbers set to a wide range of music, including a violin solo by Nayoung Ko ’21.

“I likened the creation and process of this fall dance concert to opening a gift on Christmas Day,” upper school dance teacher Shell Benjamin said. “With the majority of dancers being new to the program and having to choreograph dances in two to three rehearsals, the anticipation of witnessing joy, beauty and love radiate through the dancers to the audience was exhilarating.”

In keeping with the School’s mission of being “a power for good in the world,” the dancers also used their spotlight to raise awareness and funds for two charities. On Friday night, the audience contributed $640.97 to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and on Saturday night, attendees gave $605.97 for UNICEF. The funds will be distributed to each organization through the MISH Office.
