Varsity Boys, Girls Squash Teams Win Openers

Both the varsity boys and girls squash teams emerged victorious in their season-opening matches this past week.

Both the varsity boys and girls squash teams emerged victorious in their season-opening matches this past week. 
 
The boys cruised to a 7-0 victory over The Browning School on Wednesday, December 4 at home, while the girls defeated visiting Holy Child, 6-1, on Thursday, December 5. 
 
Taha Dinana ’20, Garrett Wenberg ’20, Ian Stein ’23, George Chang ’22, Reed Gilmore ’21, Mitch Fink ’21 and Johnathan Oakes ’23 all notched convincing victories for the boys squad. The Panthers only dropped one game throughout the entire match, showcasing their depth and talent in the process. The boys will travel to face Rye Country Day School in their next match on Wednesday, December 11. 
 
For the girls, Nouran Youssef ’20, Hanna Schiciano ’23, Alex Batson ’20, Kate Kasoff ’21, Stella Zinaman ’22 and Taliya du Boulay ’21 all recorded victories. It was the most dominating win in program history, according to assistant coach Rob Fish. Masters will host the Brearley School in its next match on Tuesday, December 12.
