Young Alums Let the Good Times Roll at Sushi Soiree

The group enjoyed a night of fun, laughter, and a delicious spread from Sushi Mike’s, a local sushi restaurant. 

“This event is such a great opportunity for our young alums to maintain their connection to their alma mater and spend some time catching up with each other, current seniors and faculty,” Director of Alumnae/i Engagement Sujata Jaggi said. Alums from the Classes of 2015 through 2019 also took the opportunity to talk with faculty members that impacted them during their Masters career. Benjamin Miller ’19 said, “It was really nice to reconnect with some teachers and tell them what an important role they played in my education.” Louisa Chiodo ’19 shared a similar sentiment: “I loved this event because I got to see many familiar faces and thank my teachers for all they taught me.”

Current seniors also enjoyed chatting with their college-age peers and learning about what lies ahead for them. Michelle Wei ’20 said that “Because I’ve been going through the college process, it’s nice to talk to people who are really enjoying their time in college. It gives me something to look forward to. It’s also nice to see how people are doing now.” 

Head of School Laura Danforth joined the party, too, welcoming alums back to their alma mater, and even invited a few attendees up to the microphone to share stories of their time at Masters. Danforth ended the program with just two words: “Welcome home!” And although they no longer spend their days on the School’s campus, the recent graduates were indeed right at home.
