School Donates Medical Supplies to NYC Hospitals

The Masters School once again lived its mission — to be a power for good in the world — by donating boxes of goggles, germicidal wipes and gloves to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

The School also provided nasal swabs to SUNY Downstate Medical Center. The donated equipment and supplies are essential to the work of medical staff treating patients infected with the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19. The supplies belonged to The Masters School Science Department.

Head of School Laura Danforth jumped into action after hearing about the desperate need from a friend who works in the healthcare industry.  “Our mission – to be a power for good in the world – is more critical than ever during this global health crisis,” Danforth said. “We all have an essential role to play during this difficult time, and I am proud that our School was able to make a positive impact by donating supplies to help the medical professionals caring for others.”
