Masters Launches Student Access Fund

The COVID-19 pandemic is inflicting tremendous economic devastation on communities around the United States, and The Masters School has responded by creating a Student Access Fund.

The newly-formed fund is dedicated to providing financial aid support and resources to Masters families with demonstrated need.

On Thursday, April 23, Head of School Laura Danforth sent an email to parents, alumnae/i and friends announcing the creation of the fund and providing information on how community members can contribute. Danforth wrote that the School “remains steadfast in its commitment to our students.” The School is launching this initiative to ensure “that no student has to forfeit a Masters education” as a result of this pandemic, added Danforth.

Danforth ended her letter by calling on the School’s mission statement, to be a power for good in the world, noting that “Our ability to be a power for good increases exponentially when we unite for the sake of a noble and shared purpose.”

Earlier in the week, The Masters School shared a video where Danforth expressed gratitude for the numerous messages of care and support that she has received from members of the community during this crisis.
