Masters Completes On-Campus COVID-19 Testing for Students, Faculty and Staff

In preparation for the return of day students and faculty back to campus on Monday, October 5, The Masters School is requiring that all students, faculty and staff provide a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test result from a test administered within five days of the return to campus for in-person instruction.

Masters partnered with St. John’s Riverside Hospital to provide convenient COVID-19 testing on campus from Tuesday, September 29, through Friday, October 2. The on-campus testing ended today and served approximately 800 members of our community. The cost of the test was covered by insurance or provided free of charge for any family or person without insurance.

“We are so grateful we were able to partner with Riverside to offer COVID-19 testing. It provided our families and employees seamless access to test results,” Director of Health Services Sue Adams explained.

It was a smooth process for Dr. Rini Ratan P’22, ’24, who took her two children, Kira and Arjun, to get tested on campus. “The process could not have gone more smoothly. The system was beautifully orchestrated—all of the staff were pleasant, professional and reassuring, and the entire experience was streamlined, efficient and truly seamless,” said Dr. Ratan.

Dr. Ratan is a member of Masters’ Health Advisory Team, a group tasked with helping the School navigate the challenges of COVID-19 and implement the proper protocols.

“This was an important step in ensuring our entire community has a safe and healthy return to campus next week,” Adams said.
