Tower Airs Its First Broadcast

The Masters School’s award-winning student newspaper, Tower, shared its very first edition of Tower Broadcast News (TBN) on Friday, October 2. This latest feature from Tower was an impressive showing of journalism, planning and video production.

Hosted by lead anchor Logan Schiciano ’21, this 35-minute episode of TBN covered five lead stories. Recorded, remote interviews between Logan and students, alumni, administration and coaches helped tell the stories of Masters’ September on-campus events, the impact of COVID-19 on student-athletes, a student panel on the School’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion plan, and coronavirus cases at colleges. The edition wrapped with advice for students on the return to campus next week.

Activities coordinator Edward Gormley left a comment on the show’s first episode, saying, “Great show!! Very informative and professional. Congrats!” As Logan commented in the show’s closing, “If you’re interested in getting involved in TBN or you have feedback about the show, you can email me or talk to me in person.”

Future episodes of TBN are expected to cover the upcoming Presidential election and Master’s return to campus for in-person instruction.

You can watch the October 2 episode of TBN on Tower’s website.
