Roland Davis to Help Masters Further DEI Goals

As part of Masters’ commitment to its anti-racism and anti-bias plan announced in July 2020, Roland Davis will be joining the School as a part-time consultant.

Davis is working with the Board of Trustees, administration and the Equity and Inclusion department to assess our current efforts in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion. He will make recommendations to help us further our goals toward becoming an anti-racist and anti-biased institution.

Karen Brown, director of equity and inclusion, says, “Davis’ experience in secondary schools, commitment to educational access and social justice, and student-centric approach will make him an invaluable voice and collaborator for the Masters community as we work towards a better Masters.”

Davis comes to Masters with 25 years of leadership experience at both the secondary and post-secondary levels as an educator and equity and inclusion practitioner. He is also a member of the Stanley H. King Institute faculty, helping teachers and administrators to better understand the adolescent experience and improve support for their students from historically marginalized identities.

Masters continues to make strides towards the initiatives outlined earlier this year. Read more on Masters’ anti-racism and anti-bias plan here.

*Please note that a previous version of this story incorrectly stated that Mr. Davis joined Masters as a full-time instead of a part-time consultant.
