Support EFFECT’s Valentine’s Day Fundraiser

EFFECT is selling Alter Eco chocolate truffles to benefit the United Nations’ Give Her a Future fund. Your donation will help a refugee girl in Uganda to enroll in school, as well as aid her to delay marriage and pregnancy, and avoid long, underpaid work hours.
The girls will learn about climate change and have an opportunity to participate in preserving our planet. The UN’s Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization ensures that climate change is a crucial part of the girls’ core curriculum.

Buy one truffle for $2 or ten for $15, and there is no limit or minimum!  Place an order through our online order form and Venmo @effectmasters with your payment (the four-digit number is 2820). Cash payments will be accepted in person.

You can send a student, advisor, or a special teacher/faculty member a Valentine’s Day treat along with an optional note, or just order some for yourself! Please consider adding a donation on top of the truffle cost to send more directly to the girls.

Students and faculty participating in remote learning and living in the continental U.S. will have their truffles shipped to them. Anyone outside the continental U.S. cannot be sent truffles but can order them for those within the continental U.S.and make donations.

The truffles are 100% certified organic, verifiably non-GMO, and all are fair trade certified and sourced directly from small-scale farmers. Alter Eco launched the world’s first compostable, non-GMO, non-toxic candy wrappers, and we are proud that this fundraiser will be entirely zero-waste.
