Steeped in Tradition: Seniors Celebrate With Faculty at Annual Tea

Estherwood Lawn provided a picturesque setting for the Senior and Faculty Tea on Thursday, May 20, as the Class of 2021 joined faculty for an afternoon of refreshments and reminiscing.

Hosted by Head of School Laura Danforth and Class of 2021 Dean Eric Shear, the annual event for seniors was an opportunity for the soon-to-be graduates and their teachers to share memories about their years together at Masters.

Danforth explained that the tea “launches us into other closing rites, and the energy is always so good, so upbeat.” She added: “Seniors are on the brink of a shift in the relationships with these teachers and mentors with whom they have developed real connections.”

Shear agreed that it was the perfect way for seniors to reflect on their time together: “Events like this help to bring connection and closure to a senior class that has dealt with a lot.”
