Middle School Students Bring Energy and Enthusiasm to Start of the New School Year

With a hug, handshake or high-five, middle school students were happy to ring in the new school year on Wednesday, September 7.

Head of Middle School Tasha Elsbach is buoyed by the back-to-school energy. “I've seen students hugging teachers they haven't seen since last year and students finding familiar and new friends to play with during lunch recess. I see teachers and students reaching out to new students to support them in their transition to Masters. We've also had two wonderful parent coffees.”

As students in grades 5-8 explore the rhythm of each day, they are also learning about classroom and school protocols and values. “There is a lot of excitement in the Middle School this week as students encounter something new every day either in their academic program or after-school activities- or both!” Elsbach shared.
