A healthy body, mind and spirit are of paramount importance to the Masters experience. We are committed to supporting this must-have equilibrium by offering a diverse range of services and initiatives to help our students accomplish balanced and healthy lifestyles.

We see the physical, social and emotional well-being of our students as a lifelong goal and to that end, we also offer a range of social, recreational, artistic and athletic options for students to pursue outside of the classroom.

  • Counseling

    The social-emotional health of our students is key to their overall wellbeing and a crucial component of a successful education. Masters offers an array of counseling services, workshops and training to promote healthy choices, a balanced lifestyle and personal growth. Our Counseling Center is staffed with licensed mental health professionals dedicated to addressing the social and emotional health of our students. Counselors are available for individual and group counseling on a short-term basis ( 8 - 10 sessions) to assist students with challenges and concerns. Should additional support be indicated, referrals to private clinicians off campus will be given.
  • Fitness

    A healthy body is as important as a healthy mind, and hence, Fitness and Athletics are embedded in the Masters experience. Our students have a wide selection of athletic opportunities at every level.

    Through Athletics, our student-athletes learn how to be responsible for not only themselves but also for their teammates, coaches, family and community - preparing them for the many challenges in life.

    Students also enjoy five expansive playing fields, as well as eight tennis courts and a 75,000-square-foot facility with six fencing lanes, an Olympic-size swimming pool, four squash courts, a fitness center, running track and a gymnasium with a regulation basketball court, two practice courts and two volleyball courts.
  • Health Services

    Our students’ health is our number one priority and we take steps to provide quality care. Our Health and Wellness Center is staffed with specialists trained to treat and identify a range of conditions. Our team is composed of a registered nurse, mental health counselors, and a nurse practitioner who lives on campus. We partner with local providers to ensure that our students receive the best medical support possible. Our staff will schedule medical and dental appointments for boarding students. In addition, the School has supervised accommodations available for students who are indisposed to attend classes.
  • Mindfulness

    Defined as the presence of mind and focus, mindfulness has a direct impact on mental health. It is proven to reduce stress and improve conditions associated with everyday pressures and anxiety.

    Masters incorporates mindfulness practice both in and out of the classroom. Yoga, meditation and resilience skill-building workshops are also included in our co-curricular programming. The topic is also covered in the ninth grade seminar.
  • Nutrition

    Meals are an important part of the Masters experience. Students and faculty come together for breakfast, lunch and dinner to enjoy one another’s company while savoring delicious and nutritious meals.

    Our dining service provider does a lot more than provide a variety of appetizing meals. A team of chefs and dieticians carefully plans weekly menus, and everyone enjoys new, innovative and sustainable meals.

    Mindful of dietary restrictions, the dining hall lists its nutritional information for every dish, and a range of gluten-free and allergy-conscious alternatives are available daily.
