The Masters School is committed to the ongoing growth and development of our faculty.
Types of professional development:

On-Campus Professional Development Days: Throughout the year, faculty and staff gather to learn and grow. During on-campus development days, teachers have the opportunity to delve more deeply into topics that support their individual and collective development and further the School’s ability to deliver on its mission. This type of professional development may include learning opportunities led by members of the Masters community or sessions designed and led by external speakers.

Off-Campus Professional Development Grants: Masters faculty are encouraged to pursue learning experiences beyond our campus and to connect with experts and educators working in other schools and contexts. Our teachers regularly attend graduate-level courses, conferences, workshops and events that focus on deepening content expertise and/or honing their skills as teaching professionals.

Course Development: Faculty members can request funding to support efforts to design a new course or further the development of the School’s curriculum. The School’s support of such efforts is an acknowledgement of the additional time and effort involved in creating new learning experiences.
