The Masters School is hosting four sports camps during June, July and August: basketball, fencing, squash and volleyball. Taught by experienced Masters coaches, this is a great opportunity for Masters and non-Masters athletes to improve their skills and prepare their game for the upcoming competitive season. The camps are co-ed and for students aged 8-18.
The varsity girls' and boys' fencing teams split against visiting Riverdale Country School on Wednesday, January 9.
The girls blanked the competition, 3-0, besting the Falcons in foil (9-0), épée (5-4) and sabre (8-1). The boys, meanwhile, lost a hard-fought match, dropping two of the three weapons. They secured a 5-4 victory in épée but were topped in foil, 9-0, and in sabre, 6-3.
Both the girls and boys will square off against Little Red School House & Elisabeth Irwin in their next match on Monday, January 14 at 4:30 PM at home.
