The Masters School welcomes applications for faculty positions all year. A majority of available teaching and administrative positions are known in February and March of each year. The most advantageous time to submit applications is in the December through March timeframe. Candidates should send a cover letter and resume to facultycareers@mastersny.org.

    Associate Director of College Counseling

    The Masters School is looking to hire a new Associate Director of College Counseling who will join a staff of three other counselors and an administrative assistant in guiding students and their families through all stages of the college search and admission processes.  The Masters School College Counseling Office uses a three-year, developmental approach to supporting students, which includes intentional self-assessment and forward planning. While grounded in the philosophy of the student-centered and student-driven search for “fit,” we work closely with parents as an intrinsic part of the process as well. As a new member of the office, this position will be integrated into a full counseling caseload over the course of the first two years, and will be handling additional responsibilities during that time.

    Masters is seeking an experienced field hockey coach to lead our upper school program.  We play within the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS). The ideal candidate will continue to foster excellence through hard work, positivity and enjoyment while building a foundation of trust with athletes, families and the Masters community. They will look to utilize our top-notch facilities, including a designated turf field, newly renovated strength room and a fully equipped cardio room.

    Masters is seeking an experienced fencing coach to help lead an already strong program that has seen a number of top finishes within the Independent School Fencing League (ISFL).  The ideal candidate will continue to foster excellence through hard work, positivity and enjoyment while building a foundation of trust with athletes, families and the Masters community. They will look to utilize our top-notch facilities, including a state of the art fencing room, newly renovated weight room and a fully equipped cardio room.

    The Masters School seeks a Physical Education and Athletics Faculty for a full-time 10-month position. The Physical Education and Athletics Faculty’s primary responsibility will be to work with the Director of Athletics in overseeing the day-to-day needs of the Joan Smith Hamill Natatorium as well as the Physical Education program for the Upper and Middle School.
