Emily Daly '06
Emily J. Daly '06 is an award-winning multi-platform writer and producer.
Most recently, she was senior producer for the nationally-syndicated public radio show and podcast, Our Body Politic, where she won a 2024 Webby for best individual episode in news and politics. Previously, she was a member of the Creativity and Free Expression team at the Ford Foundation, focusing on the arts and journalism portfolios. As a dramatic writer, Emily has been a New York Innovative Theatre Award nominee, a Screencraft Semifinalist, an International Television Festival winner, and had numerous productions of her work in NYC and regionally.
Emily earned her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University as a Bloomberg Scholar, and her Master of Fine Arts in dramatic writing at The New School. She is a member of the Masters class of 2006, where she was a proud member and leader of Phoenix, Touring Talent, Improv Club and Orchestra. As a student, she traveled to campus 1.5 hours each way every day by train. Metro-North still gives her the feeling of needing to do her French homework. She lives in Beacon, NY with her husband and kiddo.
