A Spook-tacular Halloween at Masters

The Halloween spirit was on full display this past Wednesday, with the hallways of the School donned in ghoulish decorations and students in costumes of all kinds.

In the Upper School, students, faculty and administrators took an extended Morning Meeting to present clever videos and skits based on themes assigned to them by the senior class. From the Math Department’s lip sync battle (Backstreet Boys versus NSYNC) to the senior’s take on Star Wars, the morning was filled with laughter and fun.

In the Middle School, students celebrated with an afternoon party in Doc Wilson Hall. The festivities were orchestrated by Bruce Robbins, who was an entertaining Master of Ceremonies for the event and Katie Meadows provided tunes that set the mood for lots of singing and dancing. Students enjoyed various games including penny pitch, a mummy wrap and Twister. The winners of the annual costume parade were: Viviana Simon ’24 (scariest), Nicholas Moutsatsos ’25 (funniest), Lucas Ruiz ’26 and Jacob Resnick ’26 (cutest), and Ella Dundas ’23, Aaliya Khanna ’23 and Amelia von Jan ’23 (most original).

As the school day wound down and the celebrations ended, students were still in high spirits. After all, they had something else to look forward to: a whole night of trick-or-treating ahead of them.
