Boys' Varsity Volleyball Advances to NYCAL Final

With a victory over visiting Horace Mann on Wednesday, May 8, the boys' varsity volleyball squad punched its ticket back to the New York City Athletic League (NYCAL) championship.

The Panthers will travel to face the top-seeded Calhoun School in the final on Friday, May 10, at 4:30 PM.

Masters looked mighty impressive in the semifinal against Horace Mann, cruising to a three-set victory (25-12, 26-24 and 25-16).

Fritz Pingel led the way with 17 kills, while Youssef Aly and Matt Pordy had 18 and 16 digs, respectively. Noel Gorodetsky added 28 assists for the Panthers, who will be aiming to avenge last year's NYCAL title game defeat against two-time defending champ Calhoun.
