Sample Weekend Scoop

Every Wednesday, Director of Student Activities Ed Gormley sends out the Weekend Scoop, an email detailing the various events happening on- and off-campus that weekend. All off-campus trips are chaperoned by Masters faculty and staff.

Below you will find a sample of the Weekend Scoop:

Friday
5:00 p.m.: Boys varsity basketball game in Fonseca Center
5:30 - 7:00 p.m.: Dinner in the dining hall 
6:30 p.m.: Mooncake festival in Strong Dorm common room
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.: Open library hours
7:00 - 10:00 p.m.: Open swim at the Fonseca Center 
7:00 p.m.: Trip to indoor ropes course and arcade
9:00 p.m.: Mystery dessert bus (get on the bus and you'll head out for dessert at a mystery destination!)
11:00 p.m.: Sign in

Saturday
8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: Early rise continental breakfast
9:00 a.m.: Field hockey game on Greene Family Field
10:00 a.m.: Bronx Zoo trip 
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Brunch and check-in in the dining hall
12:00 - 5:30 p.m.: Open library hours
12:00 p.m.: Apple-picking trip 
1:30: Trip to the Palisades Mall
5:30 - 6:30 p.m.: Dinner and check-in in the dining hall
6:00 p.m.: Movie trip to Ridge Hill
7:00 - 10:00 p.m.: Open gym at the Fonseca Center 
9:00 p.m.: Late night diner trip (free milkshakes for all who attend!)
11:00 p.m.: Sign in

Sunday
8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: Early rise continental breakfast
10:00 a.m.: Trip to NFL football game, Jets vs. Giants
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Brunch and check-in in the dining hall 
11:00 a.m.: Depart for "Hamilton" in New York City (sign-up in advance with Mr. Gormley)
12:00 - 5:30 p.m.: Open library hours
1:00 p.m.: Trip to H-Mart and Shake Shack
1:00 p.m.: Open art glass workshop (no experience necessary!)
1:30 - 4:30 p.m.: Open gym at the Fonseca Center
4:00 p.m.: Study break trip to Starbucks/Chipotle/Chop’t 
5:30 - 6:30 p.m.: Dinner in the dining hall 
8:00 p.m.: Study hall in dorm
