Stella Banino, who joins us as a middle school Latin leave replacement teacher, developed a passion for the ancient Greek and Roman world thanks to her former Latin and Greek teachers, Brittany Farrar and Pierce Wade!
Max joins the Department of Performing Arts as an upper school music teacher. He has taught drumline and percussion at Massapequa High School, Mineola High School and most recently at Brooklyn Steppers Marching Arts and Miami Fine Arts Academy.
Drew Craig brings more than a decade of experience in science education to the Middle School’s Science Department. Drew taught science in grades 5-12 and served as department chair at Winston Preparatory School in New York City, where he also taught history for the past two years.
Brian Galderisi joins Masters as an upper school visual arts teacher, as a sabbatical replacement teacher for Cheryl Hajjar. Brian has worked as an educator in printmaking at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, and earlier in photography at Drew University and the Rhode Island School of Design.
We are excited to welcome Frank Greally back to Masters. A former department chair and dorm resident who served on the faculty for 13 years during his previous tenure, Frank will be teaching in the Upper School Science Department.
Owen Kiely joins us as an upper school science teacher. He and his family are moving across the country from Southern California, where Owen taught science first at the Sage Hill School (Newport Coast, California), then at Polytechnic School (Pasadena, California) and most recently at the Chadwick School (Rolling Hills Estates, California).
Andy Newlon comes to Masters from Deerfield Academy, where for the past three years she taught AP Statistics, Data Science and Algebra 2, and served as a residential head.
Mitsuki Nishimoto joins Masters as a middle school teacher after working for three years at her alma mater, The Spence School, as a middle school associate teacher.
