The 28 singers took the stage in the Experimental Theater to enthusiastically perform numbers from several musicals: “Mary Poppins,” “Pippin,” “The Greatest Showman,” “Newsies,” “Wonderland” and “Rent.”
Katie Meadows, the coordinator of middle school performing arts and Preludes accompanist, said that she and fellow Department of Performing Arts faculty member Jason Reiff were “blown away by the courage and creativity that the students brought to their collaboration this trimester. They truly grew as an ensemble and lifted one another up throughout the process.”
The ensemble’s cohesiveness was on display throughout the nearly 30-minute performance, as the group deftly sang and danced to ballads and dance numbers alike. As the troupe took its final bow, applause and cheers filled the theater.
