According to the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) statistics, roughly six percent of high school athletes continue their careers in college.
Eight Masters seniors — Sabine Godwin (University of Vermont/lacrosse), Dakota Daniello (Florida Southern College/basketball), Demi Oni (Grinnell College/soccer), Adrien Blanc (Northeastern University/sailing), David Medina (Manhattan College/soccer), Baird Hruska (The College of Wooster/lacrosse), Ashleigh Woodruff (Stony Brook University/volleyball) and Hannah Schapiro (University of Maryland/soccer) — will be among that exclusive group in 2023-24.
The eight athletes were celebrated during a ceremony on May 25 in the Fonseca Center's Sharon Room. They were joined by friends, family, teammates, coaches, teachers and administrators to mark the occasion.
“We are proud of our college-bound athletes and all that they have accomplished," Director of Athletics Logan Condon said. "It is a testament to their dedication and all of the hard work they have put in to being their very best. Our community is grateful for what they contributed to Masters. We look forward to cheering them on at the next level."
