Varsity Girls Lacrosse Wraps Up Winning Season

It was a transformational season for the varsity girls lacrosse squad in 2024.
Under the direction of head coach Alexis Di Domenico, the Panthers turned in one of their best campaigns in recent memory, compiling an impressive record of 10-3.

Masters closed out the regular season with a convincing 14-3 victory over visiting Avenues on Monday, May 13.

Maya Yoon ’26 (1A) and Genesis Cruz ’27 led the offense with three goals apiece. Sydney Starkey ’25 (2A, 4 draw controls), Bella Henriquez ’26 and Michelle Nanna ’25 each scored twice. Frankie Navin ’28 rounded out the offensive production with one goal and 3 draw controls.

Goalie Bea Hopper ’27 anchored the defense with 11 saves, giving her an astounding total of 141 saves on the year.

The Panthers' development this season was in large part due to Di Domenico's tireless work with the program. Watch the video below for an inside look at the coach's methods during a recent practice:

While Masters came up short of qualifying for this year's New York State Association of Independent Schools tournament, it was still a banner season.

"We are really proud of this team’s accomplishments and will be working towards the same goal next year," Di Domenico said.
