Regardless of your skill level, the Dance program offers a rich and dynamic experience in the studio and on stage. As well as gaining a solid technique in multiple dance styles, you will be given the opportunity to experience self-expression through movement and to explore your creativity through dance improvisation and choreographic exercises.
Our course offerings include two minor and two major dance technique classes. Guest artists are also brought to campus to give our students the opportunity to work with professionals active in the field, in addition to studying with the performing arts faculty at Masters.

Performance opportunities are provided through our faculty-directed Masters Dance Company, two student-directed performing groups and the winter musical. The Masters Dance Company fulfills the co-curricular and ACR requirement. The company performs in concerts in both the fall and spring terms, and the repertoire includes all dance styles and a world dance component. Student choreography is supported in the spring concert. The fall concert presents works created by faculty and professional guest artists. We have two student-run dance ensembles: MUSE is a contemporary dance company and Urban Connection is a step and hip-hop dance company. All dance companies on campus hold auditions in the fall and spring, and all student dancers attend our Masters pre-season at the end of August for conditioning and opportunities to work with guest artists.
