Varsity Boys Track Team Secures FAA Team Title

The varsity boys track and field squad made history earlier this week, securing the program’s first-ever Fairchester Athletic Association championship. Masters totaled 142 points, edging out second-place Brunswick by 10 points. The event took place at Hopkins on May 9 and Greenwich Country Day on May 12.

Medalists for Masters were as follows:

Christopher Possible ’26 - 100m bronze
David Morris ’27 - 110m hurdles silver, 300m hurdles gold, 400m silver
Mason Rosenblatt ’27- 200m silver
Khair Parris ’27 - 400m bronze
Henry Frasca  ’27 - 400m gold, 800m gold
4x400m Relay gold (Mason Rosenlatt, Khair Parris, Owen Bull ’26, Henry Frasca)
Tommy Cooper ’26 - Javelin gold (138-08) *
Tivon Brown ’28 - Javelin bronze
AJ Nguyen ’26 - Triple jump gold (40-10.00) *

The girls team, meanwhile, placed fourth for its best finish in program history.

Avi Kinon ’29 - 100m hurdles bronze
Danse Mobray ’26 - 400m bronze -1:01.08 *
Emma Barnes ’26 - 800m silver: 2:24.59 SR, 1500m bronze.
4x100m Relay bronze (Dara Akinwande ’27, Jessica Scott ’28, Saliyaah Diouf ’28, Danse Mobray) - 51.89 *
4x400m Relay bronze (Jessica Scott, Saliyaah Diouf, Emma Barnes, Danse Mobray)
Maddie Barnes ’26 - Javelin silver

"We coaches are so proud of what (the team) built over the course of this season and how they stepped up for the team over the last few days," head coach Ian Mook said. 

The Panthers will close out the season at the New York State Association of Independent Schools championships on May 20.
