Winter Sports Season Underway

Winter sports kicked off at Masters this past week, with the varsity girls' squash team and the varsity boys' basketball squad both competing in their season-opening contests.

On the hardwood, Masters suffered a hard-fought 65-58 loss on the road at Hopkins School on Wednesday, November 28. The Panthers, who trailed by just two points at the half, were outscored 40-35 after the break. Point guard Rashid Woods ’19 turned in a stellar performance with a game-high 31 points. Teammate Isaiah Thompson ’21 added 12 points.

The varsity girls' squash team fell to visiting Sacred Heart, 6-1, on Thursday, November 29. Standout Nouran Youssef '20, a returning US Squash All-American, recorded a victory for the Panthers.
